We moved to Maine from Minnesota this past March and had been looking for a preschool for Aiden since we moved. We saw an article about Briarwood and contacted the Becker's. They immediately responded and we got a tour of the school and fell in love. Everyone is so kind and generous. We had talked about home schooling unless we really liked Briarwood. Aiden is thriving there. Tim and I refer everyone with young children to this great school and these wonderful people. I would not trust my child with anyone else. His love of numbers is developing and he is sounding our words. He can't say enough good things about the teachers or the children there. As our little grandson turned three years old, "Children's House" opened thier doors. After our first visit with Ms. Sandy and her staff, we knew that this was the place for our little one. Since every Montessori school has a very personalized approach, we have found that the best decision our family made was to place Andrew at the "Children's House." The best thing I can say about Briarwood Children's House is that it's like leaving my child with family. Her teachers really seem to enjoy her company and we know she is loved when she is away from us. The Montessori materials and philosophy only add to the allure of the program. My son started Briarwood's Montessori 1 program at 18 months and he absolutely loves it! Within the first two weeks he was walking to his classroom door on his own and immediately joining whatever activities the other children were involved in. He comes home with new words and skills every week and he clearly enjoys the company of his teachers and classmates. We plan to continue with Briarwood right through the Primary level!
